This is not your typical tea room. It's a laid-back restaurant that serves loose tea by the pot. The tea is made by putting the leaves into small metal pots and you are given a mesh strainer to use. I had to ask for another pot to decant into which clearly confused the waiter, but once he understood what I wanted was happy to help me out. I don't know what brand the tea is, but I had a very nice pot of Apricot decaf. There was selection of about 6 or 8 teas to choose from. The atmosphere is very casual with funky music. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you. People were sitting alone reading or with laptops or in couples talking. The
menu had a lot of crèpes but I had a great lentil soup with wonderful sourdough bread. A
bargain for about $5, including the tea. As in most places in the City, parking is a problem. Just drive around the block and park in the neighborhood and walk.
