It is
actually a museum to showcase a vast collection of Noritake china. But
what makes this of interest is the series of afternoon teas and
lectures done here. Each Monday at 1pm is a lecture, followed by
afternoon tea. Everything you would expect from an afternoon tea is
served ... sandwiches, breads, sweets, full selection of teas. As one
would expect, the tables are beautifully set with fine china and tea
accoutrements. Lectures have been on the history of the tea strainer,
evolution of silverware, tea tasting, etc. The owner, Robin Brewer, is
knowledgeable and hospitable. And the house is a well-restored
historic, antebellum home on Madison's historic Main Street. I've been
to one lecture & afternoon tea, and it was delightful ... so I
wanted to share my happy experience with other tea aficionados. (by
