Irene's Teas Etc., Lindsborg, KS

Visited: August, 2003
Meal: Lunch. Type of tea: Teabags. Served: In a teapot.
Tea: Excellent.  Food: Excellent. Service: Excellent.  Appearance: Excellent.
Comments:
We had cream tea on Saturday afternoon in the garden and went back on Sunday for lunch. What I learned from both experiences is that Irene has a real gift for breads. The scones were truly melt-in-your-mouth perfect on Saturday. Sunday we were served this amazing sweet (but not too much) bread with lunch that we ordered an additional loaf of. It was amazing. Lindsborg has some neat shopping and this is a perfect way to relax a bit after shopping before going to visit Lester Raymer's studio another block away. Irene is truly interested in making every customer feel like a guest in her home.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Irene's tea room with my boyfriend and his parents. It was the first time the three of them had ever enjoyed the luxury of "teatime." Irene's establishment was simply delightful. Irene and her hostess were so genuine and lovely. They spent a lot of time explaining the various teas. They invited us into the beautiful hidden garden. And all of the china used in the shop was hand painted by Irene which just made the shop that more wonderful. Thanks for the wonderful hour we spent there one rainy afternoon in Kansas!
